Clean Energy Farming: Cutting Costs, Improving Efficiencies, Harnessing Renewables |
As energy prices climb, farmers are increasingly taking advantage of energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities to reduce energy costs and increase profits. The Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program has released a new publication titled Clean Energy Farming: Cutting Costs, Improving Efficiencies, Harnessing Renewables, which features innovative SARE-funded research and examples of farmers who are improving energy efficiency while saving money, implementing farming practices that both save energy and protect natural resources, and producing and using renewable fuels. The publication can be downloaded free at the link above. You also can order hard copies at http://sare.org/publications/order.htm.
